Van Heusen Collars a New Look with Fabric-Inspired Temple Treatments
Dallas, TX. Van Heusen Eyewear announces a new sub-collection within its men’s eyewear line — The Van Heusen Fabric Collection. As the name suggests, Van Heusen’s latest looks are inspired by the hottest trends in men’s apparel.

In January, Van Heusen will release two new styles: the Trenton and the Lane. Both are inspired by popular materials for men’s fashions. The Trenton features double-laminate temples that echo the look of a brushed chamois shirt, while the Lane’s temples capture the texture of tweed. Both
styles offer double-action spring hinges, and the Lane is available in Big Man sizes to accommodate larger faces.

“Van Heusen is and has been for many years, the number one name in shirts in the U.S.,” says Pat Aptaker, Co-President of Nouveau Eyewear. “It only made sense to draw on fabric designs for some of our new looks for the 2005 Van Heusen Collection.” According to Aptaker, one in
five men has at least one Van Heusen shirt in his closet, and the brand boasts 100% recognition among its target group of men 25 and up. In conjunction with the release, Aptaker notes, Nouveau Eyewear will offer a new counter card, to help dispensers draw attention to the unique fabric-inspired temples.

Dovetailing with the Fabric Collection releases, two other new styles will be available in February: The Neil and the Westcott. Both styles draw on the designs of fine writing implements. Under the subtitle of the Van Heusen Stylus Collection, the new styles feature banded temples with marbled accents, reminiscent of upscale desk accessories. Both are available in Big Man sizes and each features ultra-trim spring hinges that disappear into temples.
